Yes. P6 Professional can run standalone on a single-user local database, or connect to the same database as P6 EPPM, on your own servers or in Oracle’s cloud through P6 Professional Cloud Connect. Once connected, your schedulers’ updates appear in the web application for everyone else.
Not always. A small team scheduling a handful of projects can often work in P6 Professional alone. P6 EPPM earns its place when you need portfolio reporting, resource management across projects, or progress updates from people who are not schedulers.
