Situation

Siemens’ lead planner also looked after the Primavera P6 servers. Whenever that planner was unavailable, work slowed down. Siemens wanted someone else to own the system so the planner could focus on projects.

Approach

We took over technical and functional support for the on-premises Primavera P6 EPPM deployment.

  1. Take over Assumed maintenance of four servers: two live environments and two sandboxes.
  2. Patch Quarterly reviews of application logs, with critical Oracle patches, P6 patch sets and SQL Server patches applied.
  3. Upgrade Upgraded P6 EPPM to the latest version every year.
  4. Support users Gave functional support to about 40 users.

Outcome

The system no longer depends on one person being available. Siemens runs a current, patched P6 EPPM environment with support on hand for every user’s technical and functional questions.
